Introducing Signature Rocks Band, a talented and dynamic five-piece group bringing together the sounds of Bollywood, Tollywood, and rock to create a unique musical experience. Led by Roshan, who brings his event coordination skills and guitar talent to the band, Signature Rocks also features Praneeth on Rhythm Guitar, Mahesh on Cajon, and Avinash on Carnatic vocals.

 

The band’s diverse musical backgrounds and expertise make for a dynamic and unforgettable performance. With Roshan’s experience as a former mechanical engineer turned Business Development Manager and his passion for music, Signature Rocks continues to make waves in the music industry.

 

In this exclusive interview, Roshan shares his journey and exciting new projects as he and the band strive to bring a fresh and lively energy to the music scene.

Let’s take a deep dive into the world of Signature Rockz.

1. Can you tell us about your background and how you got started in your field?

Roshan – “I have a background in mechanical engineering and I used to work as a BDM in a Comtech company. But music has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been playing the guitar as a hobby for years and after the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I decided to turn my passion into a full-time pursuit. I started my band and named it Signature Rockz, and we quickly gained recognition. I have to give a shoutout to all my bandmates for making this journey possible.”

 

2. What are some of the most significant challenges you have faced in your career and how have you overcome them?

Roshan – “Covid-19 hit me hard and I lost my job. But I saw it as an opportunity to focus on my passion for music. I started teaching guitar online and soon after, I formed my band. The initial stages were tough as we had to give out a lot of free demo shows to build our brand, but once we got recognized, we never looked back. We kept working harder and jamming for 8-10 hours every day. It’s all about persistence and determination.”

 

3. Can you share a project or accomplishment that you are most proud of and why?

Roshan – “One of my proudest moments was when I was felicitated with an award for teaching almost 80-100 students at an institute. It was a humbling experience and it felt great to see the impact I was making through music.”

 

4. How do you stay current and stay informed about developments in your field?

Roshan – “As the organizer of my band, I keep a close eye on other bands and their updates. I am also a member of an event managers association, so I stay informed about upcoming events and developments in the industry. Our goal is to perform on big stages and even travel abroad, so we are constantly working towards that.”

 

5. Can you talk about a specific moment or experience that has greatly impacted your career or life?

Roshan – “I was fortunate enough to meet Ram Miryala, a song composer and singer, who has greatly impacted my life. I met him at a pub and he shared some invaluable tips and advice with me. That encounter changed everything for me and inspired me to pursue my passion even more.”

 

6. What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career in your field?

Roshan – “If you have a passion for music, just do it with your heart. The rest will follow. Don’t worry about fame or money, just focus on your craft and listen to your inner voice. And most importantly, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams.”

 

7. What exciting projects or initiatives do you have lined up in the near future?

Answer: “I’m really looking forward to an event we have planned in Goa in May. It’s also my birthday week, so I’m especially excited to celebrate with my bandmates near the beach. It’s going to be a great time!”
